VRKP™ TMT Bars provide very high strength with comparatively higher Elongation values along with better Ductility as compared to other bars. Better Weld ability of VRKP™ TMT Bars helps in making high strength connections with other sections with little overlap.
  • Because of Safety with fire at high temperatures - in VRKP™ TMT Bars, test results have showed no loss of strength up to 500°C in the temperature range 550°C to 600°C, the yield strength decreases by 20 N/mm2 only. Hence TMT bars can be used in places prone to fire hazards.
  • Better Corrosion Resistance Properties - Controlled water-cooling prevents the formation of coarse carbides, which has been cited as the main cause for the corrosive nature of common bar. Another reason for better corrosion resistance is the absence of surface stresses caused by the cold twisting (CTD steel) process. Corrosion Resistance can be further improved as per the requirement of the customer by altering the material chemistry.
