Our journey first began in 1990, in Bangalore, long before the city was christened the Silicon Valley of India, when we opened the doors to our first section steel company.
With India’s transition from a closed to an open economy, and the economic boom that subsequently followed, VRKP Group doubled its turnover to Rs. 60 Cr. in 1995, and added a second plant, Shree Steel, to its fold.
This success led to diversification into the fields of finance and agriculture, which, combined with our steel manufacturing business, brought in a combined turnover of more than Rs. 2400 Cr. Through it all, TMT steel remains at the core of our business, the foundation upon which VRKP’s success is built.

Established first manufacturing unit of the group in Bangalore, Karnataka
1995
2nd manufacturing plant was established successfully in Bangalore
2003
Expanded the group operations by acquisition of projects to three states Karnataka, Andhra and Goa
2011
Established a greenfield project in Andhra Pradesh
2015-2018
Expanded the group operations by acquisition of 2 projects in Karnataka
2019
Diversified into finance through investment of NBFCS
2020
Forayed into print media through The Aryavarth Express a three language weekly newspaper.

VRKP TMT QUALITY
Our TMT bars are manufactured in state-of-the-art automated facilities adhering to the highest standards of quality. Using German technology, each bar is produced in an eco-friendly process, with a strong focus on energy conservation. Using high-quality virgin iron ore, each bar passes through various controlled stages which give the TMT better weldability, homogeneity and ductility. This results in higher concrete grip, increased durability, and longer shelf life.

Bringing almost 30 years of experience in the steel industry to the VRKP Group, his business acumen and vision are indispensable ingredients in the company’s success story. As Chairman of the VRKP Steel Group, he is actively involved in imbibing the values of excellence, integrity, business ethics into every employee and is strongly focussed on innovating the group's corporate strategy and new revenue initiatives. A BSE graduate, he is a world-class executive with vast experience in the steel industry.
